Tiny Turtles

6 weeks - 6 months (Parent Assisted)


In our heated and covered mineral based pool.

We provide a happy fun safe and informative program to help guide and educate parents on water familiarisation skills and correct handling techniques to use in the pool and at home in the bath, to ensure babies have a healthy respect for the water.

Baby Squid

6 -14 months (Parent Assisted)


Our Aqua Bubs classes are a fun and gentle introduction to the water introducing water conditioning skills with songs and activities.

Learning skills such as breath control, monkey-monkey, kicking, fall in - turn around - reach and back floating.

Our teachers will instruct beginner options through to advanced options for each skill.

Octo Tots

14 months - 2.5/3 years (Parent Assisted)


From walking and climbing age.

These little swimmers will further develop their water conditioning skills and become familiar with skills such as, climbing in and out of the pool and being submersed under the water.

Continuing development of Aqua Bubs skills with the addition of age appropriate skills of walking, climbing, propulsion and submersion.

The next step is moving into a class without a parent. This will be when emotionally ready to do so (not aged based).

Transition Tots

2.5 - 3.5 years of age


In Transition Tots, we gently guide your little one from parent-assisted swimming to independent lessons. Our nurturing approach supports children as they build confidence in a student- centred, teacher-led environment, ensuring a smooth transition. We understand that each child's journey is unique, so we patiently cultivate comfort and readiness before moving them into Level 1 classes.

Starfish (Level 1)

From 3 years +


This class is for students who are becoming confident submerging in the water, they learn to jump and turn, they are starting to learn ‘big arms’ and starting to learn to float.

This level will continue until swimmers can swim 5m with big arms and can roll on to their back to take a breath and perform relaxed and safe back floats.

Seahorse (Level 2)

From 4 years +


Students in this level can swim for approx. 5m -10m with big arms, they can roll and rest and are ready to start learning backstroke.

They will continue in this level until they can swim basic freestyle with rolling to breath for 10m and basic backstroke for 5m and start learning basic breaststroke.

Angelfish (Level 3)

Generally ages 6+


Students in this level can swim for 10 -15m freestyle, they are developing their side breathing and backstroke and continuing to learn breaststroke.

Swimmers will continue in this level until can swim 20m Freestyle with side breathing, 15m backstroke and 10m Breaststroke and basic Butterfly.

Dolphin (Level 4)

Generally 7 + years


Level 4 continues to nurture each child and continue their learn to swim journey.

Freestyle - develop efficient stroke with bilateral breathing

Backstroke - introduce bent arm pull with high relaxed arm recovery and efficient stroke

Breaststroke - narrow symmetrical kick, extended glide

Butterfly development

Swimmers will continue in this level until they are progressing towards 50m in each stroke.

Silver Squad

Generally from 8 years +


This is a 45-minute lesson with a focus on increasing skill development across all 4 strokes and increasing distances to improve endurance.

These classes take place in the 25m pool at Edge Hill State School Pool.

Freestyle - efficient technique, bilateral breathing to 100m, Backstroke and Breaststroke- efficient technique and timing to 100m, Butterfly - efficient technique 50m,

Develop all starting techniques, introduce training practices.
